Show Legal Notices NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE IMPROVEMENT Notice is hereby given by the city council of Mount Pleasant City, Utah, of the intention of such city Council to make the following described improvements, improve-ments, to-wit: To install on Main Street for a distance of three blocks, beginning begin-ning at the west line of the intersection inter-section of First East Street and Main Street and running thence West three blocks to the East line of the intersection of Second West Street and Main Street; and on Stats Street for a distance of six blocks beginning at the South line of the intersection of Third North Street and State Street, and running thence South on State Street for a distance of six blocks to the North line of the interesc-tion interesc-tion of Third South and State Street; the total length of said lighting district to be nine blocks; Installation cf said lightin" equipment shall, except as to the one block between State Street and First West street on Main j street, shall consist of four street-lighting street-lighting units, each consisting of a Union Metal No. 6400-Y36 Mon-otube Mon-otube Standard, set upon a concrete con-crete base, and a Westinghouse OV-20 Luminaire bracketed to the standard, and connected by electric elec-tric cable, to a block, two of such units on each side of the street and staggered; and as to the one block on Main Street between State Street and First West Street shall consist of six such units of the block, three ot such units on each side of the street and staggered; According to plans, specifications specifica-tions and profiles on file in the office of the city engineer and the City Recorder; and defray the abutters' portion of the cost and expenses thereof by special assessment upon the lots and pieces of ground to be affected or benefitted by such improvements, improve-ments, to be assessed according to front feet to the full depth of such lots, or parts of lots or pieces of ground; provided that where any lot or piece of ground is of greater depth than 164 feei back from the sidewalk such an assessment shall be levied upon such lots, or pieces of ground to a depth of 165 feet only from the sidewalk line. The estimated cost of said improvement im-provement will cover the purchase purch-ase and installation of said lighting equipment, estimated by the City Engineer to be $11,592,88, plus 10 of the contract con-tract price for engineering and other expenses, plus interest if there be any on interim warrants. war-rants. The property to the depth hereinabove stated abutting on Main Street between First East Street and Second West Streets, and abutting on State Street between Third North Street and Third South Street shall be made and known as Mount Pleasant Street Lighting District No. 2, and the cost of the improvement herein contemplated shall be assessed and levied upon the property in said district according accord-ing to the front feet abutting upon up-on said streets to be improved. The cost herein contemplated to be paid by the property owners within said district will include the contract price 'plus 10 of the contract price for engineering and other expenses, plus the interest in-terest if there be any on interim warrants. Said cost to the property pro-perty owners is estimated at $12,752.16; and an estimated 51.60 per front foot. All protests or objections to such improvements or to the carrying out of such intention must be in writing, signed by the owners of the property affected af-fected or benefited; describing the same, together with the number of front feet, and be filed with the city recorder on or before the 5th day of August, 19-49. The City Council at its first regular meeting thereafter, to-wit: the 6th day of August, 1949, will consider the proposed levy, and hear and consider such protests and objections to said improvements as shall have been made.
