Wight is the fourth daugr- - ted to die in the (Powell family of in- - fluenza within three weeks, r Three weeks ago (Bertha, 19 years j old, wife of Ivan Lloyd of Lark, died, j Her sister, Mrs. Florence Crother 27 ! contracted the disease while nursing I (Mrs. Lloyd and died in a Salt Lake hospital on November 31. Wer .hus-band, Fred Crother is now In France. Still another sister, Mrs. Jack Rln- - dlesback, 24, of lark, took sick two j days after Mrs. Wight was stricken and died In a Salt Lake hospital on i November 19. BINGHAM AMALGAMATED NOW FREE FROM WATER It is reported In camp that the work-- i Ings of the Bingham Amalgamated Mining Company have been un water-- 1 ed. The drainage work has been con-ducted on the 400 foot level, where a drift is showing some good ore values. A rlrift at this level connects with the Congor into the main drainage tunnel of the Montana Bingham, through the north portal and down the canyon. Ore found in the Amalgamated's drift is said to be 2 to 3 per cent cop-per, $1 in gold and a little silver. There are high grade streaks which are taken for encouragement to do some extensive prospecting In this part of the property. Some ore was encountered for about 10 feet In the drift to the Congor, from which, by close sorting, some good values have been saved. JOSEPH SHELLY HIED OF INJURIES RECEIVED AT LUMBER YARD Joseph Shelly died at St. ' Mark's hospital Friday from injuries received while loading lumber in Bingham. He was r ployed by the Uingham Coal & Lumber Company and was struck in the chest by a piece of timber. He was 57 years of age and leaves six children. His wife died one month ago.
