Show View of Rally's Comet Offered At Bryce Park BYRCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK A look at Halley's Comet from a scenic viewpoint in Bryce Canyon National Park noted for its pristine air quality will be provided Saturday, March 15 at 3:30 a.m. for early-birds wanting a look at the famous once-in-a-lifetime sight. Weather permitting, comet-watchers comet-watchers should meet at the park visitors center for the trip out to Yovimpa Point where Seth Jarvis from the Hansen Planetarium in Salt Lake City and Margaret Lit-tlejohn- park naturalist will provide special information and a telescope for viewing. At 9,100 feet, Yovimpa Point can 1 be extremely cold and Littlejohn urees comet-watchers to dress warmly with jackets, hats and gloves and to bring their own binoculars for viewing. Should the weather prove inclement, in-clement, a second chance will be attempted the following morning at the same time. |
