PKE-HOLIDAY PARTY OUTSTANDING EVENT An enjoyable pre-hollday party was given Wednesday evening when Mrs. Floss Phillips entertained enter-tained at her home for members of her First ward Sunday school class. The group was entertained with Christmas stories early In the evening and later played games, with Mrs. Dorothy Weight winning the prize. Dainty refreshments were served serv-ed by the hostess in conclusion to about twelve class members. YULET1DE PARTY ENJOYED 1!Y CULTURAL AltTS CLUB The annual Christmas party of the Cultural Arts club was held Friday night at the home ot Miss Teddy Thorpe. Early in the evening a delicious pot luck luncheon was served buffet buf-fet style with a polnsettla centerpiece center-piece on the table. Later miscellaneous games were played as well as bridge and 500 with the prize going to Elaine Crandall. J LADIES' LITERARY CLUB HAS CHRISTMAS PARTY The annual Christmas party of 1 the Ladies' Literary club was held Wednesday evening at the home of Mrs. Oliver Dalton. Red carnations and holly formed form-ed attractive home decorations, together with a beautifully decorated decor-ated Christmas tree. Mrs. William Schreiner entertained enter-tained during the evening with Christmas readings. Mrs. Julia Sumsion gave a piano selection and Russell Palfreyman gave two violin and piano numbers. Later club members joined in I CLUB MEMBERS HAVE ItlflDOE LUNCHEON Mrs. Mary Bird was hostess to members of the Jovalty club Wednesday Wed-nesday at her home. Luncheon was served early in the evening at small tables, after which bridge was played with Louise Brown winning the prize A feature ot the program was the playing of recordings made by the family of the hostess. Special guests at the party were Gladys Christmas, Helen Thorpe, and Inez Bird. Members present were Margaret Sumsion, Mabel Slmklns, Luell Best, Lucille Packard, Ann Stewart, Stew-art, Al'ton Palfreyman, Clara Childs, and Louise Brown. CHRISTMAS PARTY PROVES ENJOYABLE TO S. T. CLUB S. T. club members were guests of Mrs. Harry Pennington at their annual Christmas party Thursday night. Holiday decorations and the beautifully decorated Christmas Christ-mas tree added to the spirit of the occasion. MOTHERS' STUDY CLUB HAS CHRISTMAS PARTY Members of the Mothers' Study club were delightfully entertained Friday night at the home of Mrs. Nell Alleman in the form of the annual Christmas party. The rooms were beautifully decorated dec-orated with a profusion of cut flowers including red roses, white callalillies and sweet peas. A beautifully beau-tifully decorated Christmas tree added to the holiday atmosphere. The program included a piano solo by Geraldine Hjorth; singing of Christmas carols, club members; mem-bers; a Christmas story, "Bells of St. John," Mrs. Nellie Burt; a story, "Christmas Memory Street," Mrs. Lewis J. Whitney, and miscellaneous mis-cellaneous poems by Mrs. Whitney. Whit-ney. Gifts were exchanged and refreshments re-freshments were served In con- ALPHA BETA HAS HOLIDAY PARTY The annual Christmas party of the Alpha Beta club was held Friday Fri-day evening at the Valley Tavern with Mrs. G. Lowry Anderson acting act-ing as hostess. Guests were served luncheon at one long table centered with an artistic centerpiece of Bilver bells. Tiny Christmas stockings of candy and nuts were given each one as favors. A beautiful Christmas tree added to the festive holiday theme. The program included two readings read-ings by Mrs. William Schreiner, and the entire group sang several Christmas carols, after which I cards were played, with prizes going to Mrs. Charles Boyer and Mrs. A. A delightful program featuring a Christmas story by Mrs. Jessie Duke of Provo, and refreshments were enjoyed.
