The nd was down tight Promptly at midnight of Saturday the orders given by the police were observed ob-served literally, and not until midnight of Sunday was there any sale of liquor There was no evidence, either, that prudent drinkers had provided themselves them-selves with the means of staving off the terrors of a dry Sunday.
