Show WELCOME HUN 1 GIVE cooperation asked to protect fellow hunters and avoid fires to hunters on the fishlake fishlike Fish lake national forest fo leest we welcome you as well as aa hundreds of other hunters on the fishlake fishlike Fish lake forest and we hope you will be successful in getting your buck howe however vaa as a protection to yourself and your fellow sportsman we want you to cooperate with us in securing com v aliance with the following precautions and principles 1 L play safe in hunting never carry a gun cocked avoid accidents by being careful 2 the life of one of your fellow hunters is worth more to you than all the game in america 3 do not shoot until you are sure you can see and anci know what you are shooting at 4 be sure that the deer you intend to shoot has horns 5 never bring a loaded gun into a house camp or automobile 6 real sportsmen never try their skill on road trail or object signs 7 prevent forest fires by complying with the following matches be sure your match is out break it in two before you throw it away tobacco throw pipe ashes and cigar or cigarette stumps in the dust and stamp or pinch out all fire dont throw them into brush leaves or needles making camp build a small campfire build it in the open not against a tree or log or near brush scrape away the trash from all around it leaving camp never leave a campfire even for a short time without quenching it with water or earth fighting fires if you find a fire try to put it out if you cant get word of it to the nearest united states forest ranger keep in touch with the rangers keep your camp clean B before afore breaking camp bury all refuse tin cans etc leave a clean camp ground for the next visitor for beaver district only 8 each hunter will kindly register in and out at one of the established checking stations showing the game killed bring the head out 9 wear the numbered metal tag provided you in a conspicuous place on the outer clothing 10 should you see a dead doe doc or fawn cut off the upper ear and report the number of deer so marked by you to the man at the checking station the next hunter seeing the marked carcass will know if it has been counted 11 please report the cost of your hunt to the man at the station when checking out 12 whether successful in your hunt or not fill out and return tag attached to your license to a checking station game warden or to the state fish and game commissioner if you will comply with the above rules you will have a clear conscience at the end of the trip and an invitation to come again |
