Lehi came within one point of defeating the Pleasant Grove Vikings, Vik-ings, who are holding the lead in the district league, Friday night in the game at Pleasant Grove, the score ending 42-41 for Pleasant Grove. The Lehi Pioneers really scared the Vikings, who are battling fori the championship. Our boys played outstanding ball throughout the game. The Pioneers trailed the Vikings 19-27 at the half, but with Jack Mitchell and Don Evans . pouring them through they pulled up to tie the game at 40-all. Excitement was then at a high pitch and boosters of both teams were yelling and cheering their teams: Big Elwood Sundberg, center for Pleasant Grove, came through with the field goal that won, although the Pioneers sank a foul pitch afterwards aft-erwards to come within one point at the gun. Provo defeated American Fork by a 36-37 score.
