refined duears and the beneral features ol 01 the house schedule are preserved and the senate amendments in cleastor cre astoR the differential to one filth and providing tor a reduction ot one tenth of the duty on raw suar not above 87 degrees which would give a duty of on 88 degrees sugar are not adopted in deference to ahe wishes of those interested in beet edear production that the senate rate of on refined edear might be retained an increased encouragement to this industry the duty on raw cuffar is increased coven and one half hundredths eo as to make the increase en them abe bame as the
