Thomas Lawson has accepted the position as principal of the Kanab High school for the coming school year. Lawson received his masters degree as Utah State University in June in school administration. He is in Kanab at present arranging housing facilities for his wife, the former Barbara Wold, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wold, and children, Kim 13, Carlene 9, and Peggy 5. They have been making their home at Malad, Idaho for the past eight years. Kim will remain in Brigham City for the summer with his grandparents. ITS NOW 'i-- V BILL'S DRIVE--II Main North 777 Brother of Local Lady Died Saturday fo) Emanuel Hansen, 58, who had served as sheriff of Madison county, Idaho, for the past 18 years, died suddenly, Saturday evening from a heart attack. He was a brother of Mrs. Mark Nielson of Brigham City. Sheriff Hansen was stricken into while driving a prisoner Rexburg from a suburb town. The prisoner immediately moved into the drivers seat and rushed the dying officer to the hospital in Rexburg, where he was pronounced dead. He was born Feb. 28, 1899 at Arrhust, Denmark, a son of Mr. and Mrs. 1L D. Hansen, who later came to Utah and made their home in Logan. On March 27, 1919, he married Beatrice McCulloch in the Logan LDS temple. He is survived by two sons and a daughter: Ray Hansen of Kearns, George Hansen and Mrs. Katherine Hill, both - of Rexburg: 13 grandchildren, and six sisters and five brothers. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p. m. in the Hibbard LDS ward chapel, located near Rexburg.
