Show iiMI Report of Funeral Funer-al Services. Joseph William Statham of Wellsville died Sunday, making mak-ing another sad chapter in the history of a family which has lost Thomas Morgan. All spoke I highly of the deceased. She was 1 aged 25 years. The funeral service over the remains of the late Hopkin .Matthews, .Mat-thews, Sr., was held in Providence Provi-dence Sunday. Elder Adolph Baer offered the opening prayer, and the speakers were President W. W. Maughan, Elders JohnF. Madison, Samuel Holt, John Theurer, J. T. Thain, Sr.; and - Bishop Fred Theurer. All of the speakers had been acquainted acquaint-ed witn the deceased for many years, and all eulogized his devout de-vout and honorable career. The closing prayer was offered by Elder Godfrey Fuhriman. The Providence choir furnished furnish-ed beautiful music for the occasion, occa-sion, as did also two quartettes, the first comprising Ezra Camp- bell, Thomas Sterling, Arthur Pickett and J. A. Smith; the second, sec-ond, Miss Kleopfer, Mrs. Buck-miller, Buck-miller, Miss Pearl Priday, Emil Buckmiller and Mr. Kevern. The deceased gentleman was born in South Wales and was aged 80 years on July 13, last. All of his children were present at the funeral except Mrs. Wm. Peacock of Snake River valley. He came to Utah in 1856, and to Providence in 1858, being probably prob-ably the third settlor in that town. He was associated with every good work for the upbuilding upbuild-ing of his town and county and for the betterment of the people during the past 44 years. His last wife- survives him, as do 9 ; children and 135 grand and great grandchildren. Mrs. Anna Mohr, . wife of Earnest Mohr of Loian Fourth ward, died Sunday trom stomach trouble, aged 51 years. The de-ceased de-ceased was a native of Sweden, ' but had lived in Logan for many years. The funeral will be liddj in the Fourth ward meeting! house Wednesday at 3 p.m. Friends desiring to view the remains may do . so at the residence re-sidence from 12 to 2 today. Information . reached Logan; Monday chat Mrs. David Raineyi of Star Valley, Wyo., passed j away Sunday. The ' deceased : lady was aged 43, aud was the! daughter of Christopher Olson of Richmond. She leaves a hus-. band, several children and many j relatives and friends to mourn her untimely death. She was a woman of splendid character and was highly esteemed. A number! of relatives left for Star Valley Monday to attend the funeral. The funeral service over remains of the late Mrs. Clarissa Taggert Parkinson was held in the Logan tabernacle Sunday at noon, and the speakers were Presid nt YvT. H. Lewis of Lewis-, ton, Elders James A. Leishman, ! Moses Thatcher, Bishop E. R. ! Owen of Wellsville and Bishop' H. A. Hansen of Logan Sixth ward. All had been personally acquainted with the deceased lady and spoke in the highest, terms of her good works and j fidelity in church affairs, as also! of her great faith.
