Had the Darts been without his ser-vice- s, Davis season surely wouldnt have been as successful as it was. Pearson turned into a high scoring and sleek moving forward for Davis after a relatively quiet junior year in which he saw very little varsity action. In Pearson carried the Darts, averaging 26.5 points per game and shooting over 55 percent from the field. He was also the teams leading rebounder after the 10 games with 7.4 per outing. During the league season, Pearson was as equally impressive as he averaged 21.6 points per game and from the field. Durshot he made 4 of season the league ing 1 1 and averaged 4.0 rebounds per game. Into the four state tournament games in which Davis played, Pearson averaged 23.8 points per game. Pearsons freethrow shooting was very impressive throughout the season. Overall, through league and in the playoffs, Pearson only missed 10 freethrows as he sank 151 of 161 shots for an average of 93.8. During the state tournament he made a sparkling 34 of 35 freethrows.
