Snow said we have much to bo thankful for, as God has certainly blessed us, as a people, in our labors and has provided for our wants. We should be diligent in doing our duty as members of of this church, and am pleased that one Bishop, at least, has gone to work in good earnest to look after those who are wayward, and in most cases when those who are wayward and are not doing anything any-thing to assist the poor or to do any duty that i3 required of them as Latter-day Saints, they are, as a rule, willing to turn from their evil habits and ask to be dealt mercifully mer-cifully with, and they will generally gener-ally do better when they see they are looked after, and when we, as leaders of the people, neglect our duties and allow those who are wayward to go on in evil doing, we are doing them an injury by not looking after them . Advised every Bishop to look after the ''wayward ''way-ward and assist them to ' reform Advised those who are called to be helps to the Bishops, as teachers to be diligent in looking after the people and see that the saints ' aro carefully' watched over and guarded that the adversary may not have power to lead them from the path of virtue and honor, and . in performing per-forming this labor God will bless you. Reuben Gardner said he thought he was called to report the labors of his mission. On arriving in Europe he was sent to Scotland,; the home of his ' father. While I was there I enjoyed my labors very much. The way they are doing; now in that country is to go from house to house to every one where they can get an opportunity and distribute dis-tribute tracts, and seek to introduce the principles of the Gospel to the people. It will take a long time to warn the people of that , country, with the present number of Elders who are there. I visited many of the different sects of religion, to find out for myself if they have anything any-thing better than we, who profess , to be the Saints of the most high but I found while they taught many good principles, they do not have the true principles of the Gospel as restored to the earth in this our day.
