Show Friends Pay fid GALYNN HUTCHTNGS NOTED FOR HER AIRLINES ACHIEVEMENTS Tribute to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hutch-inhave just returned from visiting in Chicago and Seattle. While in Chicago they visited with their daughter, Galynn, who Is now a United Air Lines stew ardess supervisor. She flew for four years before the promotion and in addition to her regularly scheduled flights, flew many charter flights, the most recent charter being the Nixon-Agneon a Super DC 8, Miami to San Diego. She has also received United s Award of Merit with an accompanying cash award for administering cardiac compress and mouth to mouth resuscita tion to a woman who had suf fered a heart attack while in Chicago's O'Hare Terminal Last November, Galynn was chosen with five other girls to go to Oklahoma City to work with the Federal Aviation As sociation on evacuation expert ments on the SST (Super Sonic Transport). She has also worked as an OJT (On the Job Trainer) for the past two years and trained girls on their first two flights. While in Seattle, they visited with Mr. and Mrs. Max Wilson, formerly of Lehi. Mr. Turner, 66, Lehi police chief for 22 years, and lone time church and civic work er, died Tuesday August 27, in the American Fork Hospital of a heart ailment. Bishop Elwood Hunt of the Lehi Fifth Ward conducted the services, at which Mrs. Zada Phillips played the organ prelude and postlude music. The prayer with the family was of fered by Theron Mitchell. Married at age 16, Mrs. Evans continued her efforts toward an education, achieving a gracious and well informed personality. She was proud of her two children Death Cells Mrs. Howard Wing. Following remarks by Bishop Hunt, who recalled Mr. Turner's interest in youth and his ser vice in athletics at the high school and in the church pro gram, Lucile Carlisle gave the biographical sketch.' Succeeding speakers were Howard W Robinson, former Lehi City councilman and member of the Fifth Ward bishopric, and City Attorney Harvard R. Hinton, former bishop of the ward. Both had been closely associated with Judge Turner in civic and church affairs. Tribute was paid his honest; dependable attitude and unfaltering faith. He was one of the first to enlist in the Na tional Guard, in Lehi's first unit, serving for eleven years in that capacity. The closing song was "Goin1 Home,' by Mrs. Vera Trane and Ann Bushman, with Mrs. Phillips as the accompanist. Maurice J. Dahl, a nephew, offered the closing prayer. Fifth Ward Relief Society members cared for the beautiful flowers. Pallbearers were Police Chief Berl Peterson, Deputy Sheriff Dean Kirkham, L. Glen Wanlass, Wesley Turner, Roge r Gordon and Howard Nielson. Interment took place in the Lehi City Cemetery where Bishop E. B. Garrett offered the dedicatory prayer. VISIT PARENTS IN OREM Mr. and Mrs. Don T. Han- sen visited in Orem, with Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Larsen, par ents of Mrs. Hansen, who recently returned home after a two year LDS mission in the Texas Mrs. Lillian Mary Yates Evans 92, Lehi native and long time resident, passed away in a Salt Lake City nursing home, Wednesday, August 28, after an extended illness. She was born in Lehi, Dec 24, 1875, a daughter of William and Martha Mary Ann Peck m Yates. Whe was married to Jones Evans, August 6,1892, in Lehi. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Her husband died Sept. 17, who Hy-ru- 195L Since that time she had lived in Lehi and also for some time In California, with a daughter, Mrs. Walter (Zona) Steiner. She had been active in LDS Church affairs. She is survived by three sons and five daughters- - Hyrum V. Evans, Salt Lake City; Abel J. Evans Lehi; E. Glen Evans, Mrs. Joseph S. (Mary Elizabeth) KIrkland, Los Angeles Calif.: Mrs. Lillian Reader. Salt Lake City; Mrs. Walter (Zona) Steiner, Plymouth, Calil.; Mrs. Geneva Mercer and Mrs. C.
