I, like many other people, enjoy Sunday drives. 1 would like to stop at the Silver Sage to get a drink and some snacks for the trip, but it is closed on Sundays. One concern maybe that there is no one w illing to work on Sundays. However, there arc many teenagers seeking weekend cmplovmcnt and arc willing to work this shift. This provides money for the kids still in school but docs not interfer with the schedule of the people already working there. By stav ing open on Sundays, the benefit reaches beyond the employees and customers. It extends to the owner of the Silver Sage as well. Not only will they get more profit from Sunday business, the consumers will keep coming to their business. If you ask me, it is worth staying If only men could be induced to laugh more they might hate less, and find more serenity here on Earth. Thanks to the support of the faithful members, a complete meal w as enjoyed. This has been a fun tradition for most of the 30 years the Tintic Historical Society has been around. Yes, this marks the 30'h year for the society and looking back, quite a bit has been accomplished. Right now a Civilian Conversation Corp display is being put together as a permanent exhibit. Anyone with C.C.C. memorabilia from C.C.C. camps in Juab County arc asked to contact the society. A menu from Christmas Dinner in 1936, from the Jericho Camp was received from Frank Fowcrs this week, listing names. Other pictures arc in possession of the camp in Callao donated by Dick Seal. For the reasons above, I feel that we should offer more sports programs in our local schools. |
