Show V DAVIS REFLEX JOURNAL, AUGUST 1, 1984 By KEITH DUNCAN Journal Sports KAYSVILLE - A decision which was made final earlier this week and one w hich comes as a complete surprise to most who follow Davis High School athletics, Coach Ward Sawley has decided to resign as the head coach of the Davis High football program. No word yet on who might fill the position left vacant by Sawley, but with the new season less than a month away and official practices opening in just three weeks it would appear that the Davis High administration might leave the job to someone already on the staff. From there the job might go to Davis assistant Jim Dickson who has assisted with the Davis varsity for six seasons now.
