Recipients of taxable disability retirement income who are under 65 and meet other conditions may find that they too can take this credit, the IRS advised. The agency will no longer approve requests for refinancing of existing loans or guarantee loans based on restored entitlement or partial entitlement. Also, VA will limit loans approved to a maximum of $90,000. The agency also announced that it will impose a 10 percent reduction on the payment of allowances for burial, burial plots and headstones. In the insurance program, inter est rates for policyholder loans will be maintained at 11 percent instead of implementing a planned reduction to 9 percent.
