Show Clifford MS Lee E. Dies; Funeral Today at HADFIELD WILLIAM William Hadlield Succumbs at 92 William Hadfield, 92, former Bishop of the Lehi 3rd LDS Ward, died early Saturday morning at his home from causes incident to age. He was born in Provo on June 3, 1879, a son of Samuel and Alice Baker Hadfield. On June 28, 1905 he married Charlotte Gough in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He attended Brigham Young Academy. While serving on an LDS mis sion to the Eastern States he was president of the New York Conference for five months. He later served a six months mis sion to the Northwest. In Lehi, he served as superintendent of the Lehi 3rd LDS Ward' Sunday School and as se cond counselor in the bishopric before being ordained a Bishop in 1923. He served for 10 years In 1933 he was appointed high councilman in the Lehi Stake and served for nine years. Later he served in the Lehi Stake High Priest quorum presidency. He was a rural mail carrier for 37 12 years before retiring. He was also a farmer. Surviving are four sons and three daughters, Dale W Had field; Heber G. Hadfield; Leo A Hadfield; Mrs. Alva Ralph (Willa) Wing, all of Lehi; Ho race J. Hadfield, Provo; Mrs Edward D (Alice) Carter, Magna; Mrs. John W (Donna) Mitchell, Salt Lake City; 34 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 20, at noon in the Lehi Stake Center, with Bi shop Boyd Stewart of the Lehi 7th Ward officiating. Prelude and postlude music was played The by Elaine H. Kirk and Jean Davis and fam ily spent the weekend of UEA in Ely and McGill, Nevada visiting with Kirk's mother and a 1.: W brother. While there they took a trip into the near by hill in search of Pine Nuts. The Pine nuts are scarce this year but they were successful in their efforts and were able to bring home a few nuts.. Myrtle Erickson reports that she had an enjoyable trip this past week, with fellow workers and employees of the Utah State P ar ks system. Nathan and Oleen Vance spent 11 CLIFFORD E. LEE ker. He was a member of the LDS Church and had served as assistant scoutmaster in the Le- First Ward. Survivors include his widow of Lehi; two sons, three daughters, Clifford J. Lee, with the U. S. Navy in Vietnam; Varlan Elmo Lee, Lehi; Mrs. Karl G. (De-lil- a) Healey, Mrs. LeEarl (Dor-ienTerry, both of Lehi; Mrs. Raymond Charles (Linda) Dirker, hi e) Orem; brothers, Frank Lee, Lawndale, Calif.; Lawrence Lee, Dinosaurland, Calif; Seth 0. Lee, all of La Pointe, Utah; a sister, Mrs. Vera Bigelow, Vernal; 14 grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Wing Mortuary Chapel in Lehi. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday prior to services. Burial will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. Local Barber Falls From Tree While Pinenutting pine nut hunt over the weekend proved to be rather hazar dous for Tuff Allred, popular Main Street barber. Tuff climbed a 20 ft. tree to reach some choice Dine cones when he lost his balance and fell to the ground. Luckily he landed on some branches or his in juries probably would have been much worse.
