But together ; can do the job. rjIJIJTJ Newly Formed Feminine Softball Team Ready for Tourney The first scheduled game for the Hill AFB civilian girls softball team last Tuesday evening was rained out and postponed until next week. However, the newly formed club to represent Hill AFB civilians in the Ogden girls softball league is continuing practices and should be in even better form when they open the season next Tuesday evening at John Affleck Park, according to Barbara Fowler, catcher on the team. The local girls, sponsored by the civilian welfare association, are entered in the Ogden tournament with seven other feminine teams. Games will be played every Tuesday evening at Affleck Park. The line up include several veteran softball players, including: Beverly Poll, shortstop for the team who has played for the Salt Lake Shamrocks for the last three years. Many of the other girls have been active in sports for several years. The first string on hand for the postponed Tuesday night game were Pitcher Rosalie Reese, from inspection; shortstop Beverly Poll, supply; centerfielder Sammy Ashbury from reclamation; first baseman Cleo Young, reclamation; second 6 baseman Mary Skikos, line No. 1; third baseman Joyce Poole, - vS B-2- sheet metal; left fielder Thelma Williams from inspection; right fielder Peggy LaPointe, engine repair; and catcher Barbara Fowler from aircraft repair.
