Barbara Sargent was in charge. A "Know Your Sewing Machine" class was held Saturday at the amusement hall, under tho direction of Mary Bacon, tho County Demonstration Agent. Larry and Lila Colton and his daughters, Renee and Julie, and son Gary and his wife Lou, loft Thursday for Iowa to spend a few days with another daughter, Pam and family. The Fireman's Ball was held at the Amusement Hall Saturday night. Ron and Sharon Blgelowwere In town Tuesday night to visit with John and Rose. They left Wednesday for Grey's River, where Ron will be employed for the summer. They both attend college at Cedar City. Walt and Arlene Daniels have moved back to Kamas for the summer. They live In Mesa, Arizona during the winter. They will be going to San Francisco for a few weeks, and their girls are staying In Mesa until they get back, and then they win come to Kamas. Tho 3 mite stretch from Echo Junction to Henefer Is now only 10 complete and the construction company hasn't returned sines calling off work during the winter months. This project follows the river at a cost of $1.5 million. When these sections of highway are completed, It will mark the completion of 80 from the mouth of Weber Canyon to the Wyoming line with the exception of two small segments- -a four mile section near Devil's Slide and a seven mile section from Emery to Castle Rock. Stiff and Alta Hoyt went to Ogden Sunday to viU with their daughter Bonnie and family. Bonnie's son, Athel Is leaving for San Diego for four weeks of summer camp. Rose Blgetow attended tho Nurse's Alumni Banquet Friday evening at Hotel Utah. Milo Letter and Jay Taylor flew by Jet to San Francisco Friday. They are going to drive a car back to Kamas. Mite's Undo Dick went with them to show them around. Ish and Lucille Fitzgerald went to Idaho Falls over tho weekend to visit with their daughter, Linda Jensen and family. Lydia Carpenter and Ima Wilde flew to Minneapolis, Minnesota to spend a few days with Lydia's son, Johnnie and wife Darlene and family. Peggy will teach school In Morgan this coming year. Peggy's husband Keith and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dawson of Henefer were also proud spectators. Mr. and Mrs. Beldon Lynn also attended graduation exercises at Weber College Saturday morning where their son Dee, was graduated with a degree In Business Administration. That afternoon, Joy and Basil Beech hosted a Graduation Dinner honoring all family members graduating from Kindergarten through High School. They included Laura, Larry and Danny Beech, Mike, Jeanne, Heidi and Amolda Rlchins. Belden Lynn was honored at a Retirement Dinner at the Kozy Cafe Monday, commending him for his 22 years as a government trapper and 13 years as a State trapper. He retired February 28. He received an Honor Award, Honor Pin and plaque. It was noted that Belden had trapped from the northern border of the State to as far south as Delta, had always been conscientious about his work and had started as a young man.
