One Denver scribe lias already the dropping of the Utah Aggies and the University of Utah grid-derfrom the Rocky Mountain conference after the 1922 season. Here is what the Denver Post says with re- VARDBN Collegiate athletics in Utah ha been given a boost. The addition of the Brigham Young university to the Hocky Mountain gridiron race alone has added interest to the 1922 conference race. it is generally conceded that the "Y" warriors will be easy prey for the other elevens next season will bear watching within a few they sea- for-caste- d B Al-thoug- ht sldi-llnen- - . i GRID GAifiE IS mural nnnoT &18 Conference Will Make Tilts Better College football In Utah is due for an added impetus In 1922 with the addition of the Rrigham Young University of Provo to the Rocky Mountain conference. The 'Y" grldders were admitted to the conference Friday at a meeting of officials of the loop and immediately arranged games with five of the leading schools. Three of the five games will be played at Provo. The "Y" footballers will meet the University of Utah, the Utah Aggies. Colorado Aggies, Colorado Mines and the University of Wyoming during the coming season. The schedule as adopted by the Provokes is a good one and will bring the "Y" moleskin wearers In competition with the best elevens of the league. Coach Alvln Twitchell former star of the OEden A. A- and a former tackle will again lead th? coaching at the Provo lair. Twitchell accomplished wonders with the Provo during the past season and hla grldders work was more than satisfactory. The Provoltes now have three open dates remaining on their schedule for 1912 and arrangements will be made immediately to complete the schedule. Eugene Roberts, former coach at the "Y" represented the Provo lair at the conference meeting. The old "fox" as he isknown in athletic circle surely succeeded in obtaining a real schedule for the Provo warriors and one which will necessitate some hard work on the part of the members of the squad. Mentors In all parts of the state have on already congratulated the "Y" It gaining admittance to the loop. means better football for Utah and keener competition. oo i nt ! M-Ha- n. - on r !
