Interviews are scheduled Monday evening for the six leading candidates for the city manager position here. Mayor Jerry Maloney said the City Council has invited the six top candidates from a field of more than 100 applicants to visit City Hall during the day Monday and to talk with department heads prior to the evening interviews. Four of the six candidates are from Utah and one each are from Colorado and Maryland, Maloney said. The six were selected from a group of two dozen which were forwarded to the City Council by a citizen review group. City Council members have not set a deadline for appointing the city manager, Maloney said, since the appointment date probably will coincide with the availability of the top candidate. We would like to get him as soon as possible, but I cant really say. It depends on the individual and when he can be ready, he. said.
