Show Professor Heimhnrgcr. Prof. Heimburger gave another ex bibition of hia skill as a pianist, at Mrs. Fobea' conservatory of music, last night, to a number of ladies and gentlemen. The professor and his laxly first performed some very difficult diffi-cult four-hand pieces, after which he rendered a number of selections alone. Among these was an original paraphraso of "Heme, Sweet Home," which was not only exceedingly difficult, but aUo very beaut i ful and very different from aar thine of the kind evsr beard before. Though the para-j phrase ia exceedingly intricate, it ia bo i arranged that the melody is made I clear and distinct, and can be detected withcut any effort a feature that ia seldom tho case in varialiou3. A number of other pieces were also given which evidenced Ibc remarkable remark-able rkill of the gentleman. |
