R C Roscoe Garrett hairman 21 21 B ORDINANCE NO 119 AN ORDINANCE PRO HIBITINC DL AD SHF E P AND SLAUGHTER VISCERA FROM BEING LEFT UNATTENDED AND the health and general welfare of the inhabitants of luab County in the matter of disposal of sheep carcasses and slaughter viscera in order to assist in the prevention of hydatid disease Section 2 SCOPE OF ORDINANCE It shall be unlawful to willfully leave unattended any dead sheep carcass or slaughter viscera at any place within Juab County Section 3 GENERAL PROVISIONS A Every dead sheep carcass or slaughter viscera shall be removed as soon as possible aftpr the death or slaughter and immediately disposed in the nearest available covered pit or sanitary landfill operation B Where such disposition as reabove is quired in Section not possible, then the dead sheep cart ass or viscera shall be disposed of by burial underground in a manner sufficient to prevent access there to or other by dogs, coyotes, animals, or where a nuisance is not created, by completely burning the viscera and body in a manner which thoroughly destroys the remains Section 4 PENALTY Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall, under conviction thereof, be punished by a fine in sum not to exceed two hundred ninety-nin- e dollars ($299 00), or by imprisonment for a period not longer than six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment Section 5 VALIDITY If any sentence, section, clause or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portion of this Ordinance Section 6 CONFLICT All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed Section 7 EFFECTIVE DATE It is the opinion of the Board ot County Commissioners that it is necessary for the preservation of the health and general welfare ot Juab County and its inhabitants that this Ordinance should take effect upon its passage and first publication in a newspaper of general circulation in Juab County PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSION!
