Show SOUTH MILFORD Mrs. Harold Sautter called the rjeneral committee to her home last Tuesday to complete detailed arrangements ar-rangements for the Flower Show which will be held at an early date in Sept. Many horseback riding parties have featured the moonlight evenings even-ings of the past week. Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Rohn returned on Saturday from a three days motor mot-or trip on the west rim of Zion canyon can-yon and exploring the wonders of Kalob canyon. Mrs. Ethel Neilsen appeared before be-fore the Live Wire club girls on Tuesday afternoon and demonstrated lamp shade making. Each girl brought her material and at the close of the afternoon had finished a lamp shade. The members and their supervisors deeply appreciate the visit of Mrs. Neilsen to the club. MINERSVILLE Miss Fern Carter returned home afLer spending some time in northern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Hall of St. George are here for a few days with relatives. Mr. Clarence Rollins returned home Thursday after spending the past three months in Cowley, Wyoming. Wyom-ing. Mrs. Amy Stoddard and daughter spent the first of the week in Washington Wash-ington county. Mrs. Sidney Carter spent Saturday at Kanosh with her daughter, Mrs. F. O. Watts, she was accompanied home by Mrs. Watts and small son Carter who will spend some time here. Malin 'Potter of Salt ;Lake City spent Sunday morning here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Potter. Authnell Carter is home after spending the past three months at Cowley, Wyoming. Mrs. M. D. Fisher has as a guest her brother, A. J. Blackburn of Calif. Miss Lola Roberts returned home Wednesday from Portland, Oregon, where she has spent the past six weeks attending school. Mrs. Lynn Roberts spent the first of the week in Washington County. Joseph Murdock departed Wednesday Wednes-day for his home at Salt Lake City after spending the past four months here. Mrs. Pouline Stevens and son of Cowley, Wyoming, arc here visiting-relatives. visiting-relatives. Miss Barbara Potter returned home Sunday after visiting in northern north-ern Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Albrecht and Mr. and Mrs. D. R. McKnight spent Sunday at Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Thompson of Beaver were in town Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tex Young and fam- ily of Milford were in town Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Drake have re-j turned to California after spending : some time here. Miss Revoe Eyre of Adamsville has been the guest of Viola Gillins for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Glover and children of Zane were over-night guests at the C. K. Jameson home Monday. Reva Richards was the honored guest at a lawn party Thursday evening it being her twelfth birthday anniversary. Games and music were enjoyed. A number of young couples here attended a party at Manderfield Sat-j Sat-j urday night. i Thelma Griffiths spent the day at Minersville Friday. j A crowd of young boys and girls j met at the home -of Maxine Puffer 1 and gave her a happy surprise party Friday night. Games and a luncheon were enjoyed by the crowd. A republican primary was held i here Friday evening for the purpose of electing a delegate to attend the ! convention held in Bearer, August 13. j Morgan Evans received the votes i cast in the meeting. ! David Pearce of Adamsville also j Isall Bradshaw of Nevada, spent a few days in the Beaver mountains j last week. i Monday night twenty-four guests j were entertained at the home of J. i G. Billie Limb of Arizona is spending a short time here visiting with relatives. rela-tives. Thomas Stewart of Milford has been up here helping his grandfather put up hay for the past ten days. GREENVILLE Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Blackett, Mrs. Jess Barton and children, Norma, Nell and Keith left Tuesday for Springville where they will spend a few days with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Shipp of Beaver are spending a few days here. Virginia and Calvin Barton entertained enter-tained a number of their little friends at their home Wednesday. Games were played and refreshments were served to the following: Varle and Judith Williams, Lois and Helen Morris, Betty Barton, Bruce Theis-sen, Theis-sen, Clifford Williams, Max Blackett, Orden Rollins, Lola and Edna Calvert, Cal-vert, Garnetta and Naomd Calvert, Bessie and Arliss Fordham, Neta Murdock, Martha, Esther, Jack, Virginia Vir-ginia and Calvin Barton, Lois Hen-roid, Hen-roid, Lola Henroid and Florence Scott. Everyone had . an enjoyable time. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Reese and children Helen Rae and Eldon, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Thompson and j son Paul and Aleen Bonzo of Cedar City called on friends and relatives here Wednesday. Hogarth Barton of Richfield is visiting at the home of his grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan K. Barton. Bar-ton. Mrs. Agnes Henroid and children Lola, Lois and Floyd Henroid who have been at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack P. Barton for the past month returned to their home in Ely, Nevada Saturday. A surprise party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dan W. Barton Thursday evening in honor of their son Roy's 15th birthday. Everyone present had an enjoyable time. Mrs. Dan K. Barton left Friday for North Creek where she is spending spend-ing a few days with her daughter, Mrs. R. R. Thomas who is not feeling well. West Barton who has been at North Creek working for R. R. Thomas returned home Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Davis, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Williams, Mrs. David At-kin, At-kin, Mrs. Perce Williams, Mrs. S. R. Barton, Mrs. 0. A. Blackner attended attend-ed the funeral of Mrs. Tom Davis at Beaver Saturday. Milton Gentry of Beaver was in town Saturday. A number of young men from here enjoyed themselves at a swimming party at Radium Warm Springs Tuesday night. Blaine Blackett who has been in the Beaver mountains for the past three days returned home Saturday. Leslie Walbeck and family who has: been in the Beaver canyon for the! past two weeks returned home Thursday. j Arthur Calvert who has been in Caliente where he has been employed! returned home Wednesday. Raema Barton who has been in Kelso, Calif., for the past two weeks ! returned home Saturday. i ! BEAVER Mrs. Dorothy E. Baker and her three sons, Otto, Phillip, and Wesley returned to their home in Salt Lake City August 11, after spending two! months in New York City. The boys attended summer school at the Col- j umbia University and took their mother with them for the trip. Mrs. Viola B. Paxton who has been suffering from a nervous breakdown and has been in Salt Lake City under und-er a doctor's care for a month is im- proving and will be home within the! next few days. j John Carlyle .former county superintendent super-intendent of schools, and Mrs. Carlisle Carl-isle came down from Payson Satur-! day and spent a few days with friends in Beaver. Mrs. Sarah Maeser of Provo, wa9 a visitor in Beaver the latter part of ; last week. Mrs. Effie Marshall, of Minersville ! spent the week-end visiting with her mother, Mrs. Agnes Hutchings.
