The three girls were special speakers at Sacrament meeting under the sponsorship of the Aure-- 1 lia S. Rogers and Helen Mar Mil- -' ler Camps of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Lydia Howard Schulthies, grandmother of Pat, also was a featured speaker in the queen's home ward. Mrs. Gallard Carr, president of the Aurelia S. Rogers Camp, which sponsored Miss Schulthies in the queen contest stated that Pat was the first Davis County girl to receive the Mrs. er title. In their talks, the three lovely girls expressed their gratitude for their pioneer heritage and their hopes in living up to the ideals set forth by their forebearers, it was stated by Mrs. Kate B. The fire was due to sparks that came from weed burning by railroad employees along the tracks. The flame ignited trash and a pile of old cans and boxes which made a hot fire but not much in fiancial loss. iHv The following day a fire was started in the adjoining propeity at the salvage yards behind the Clearfield Lumber Co. Receive Awards Prison Term Clearfield Capt. F. B. Risser, CO, presented seven Naval Supply Depot Employees with Super- ior Accomplishment Awards this week. All of the above employees received a check for $200.00 except Iken T. Taylor, who because of her tower annual wage bracket which controls the amount of the award given, received a check for $100.00. Mul-for- d, Paul Carlo Arendt-se21, Ogden, was sentenced Tuesday to serve one to twenty years in the Utah State Prison by Judge .John F. Wahlquist, Second District Court. The man who had pleaded guilty to second degiee burglary charges last fall was sentenced to the State Prison for parole violation. He had admitted burglarizing Big Veins Service Station in Clearfield. He was recently brought back from Sturgis, South Dakota, by Davis County Sheriff LeRoi Day on the parole violation charge.
