Advertising Curtain. For some time past, Messrs. Williamson & Smith, a prominent parting firm of this city, have ben engaged in executing what, to this part of the country, is a great novelty an advertising curtain. This curtain is designed, when finished, to take the place of the old drop curtain in Woodmansee's theatre, and, when put in place, will be very attractive. The width of the curtain is 24x16.feet. The artistic work up-- n it covers a space of 21x13 teet tho latter being the width from eich aud the sido of the curtain to the from the stage height roller. The work, which is upoti a white background, is excellent, and does credit to tke gentlemen engaged theroon. Upon each side of thc curtain is j ainted one bronze pillar; around these arc wrapped the two sides of a tinely designed crimson dra;ery; profuse with golden tassels. The idea of the artists is that a fine curtain has been drawn aside to give a view of the many ad in the background. vertisements The several advertisements are enclosed in borders forming sLields, ribbons, ornamented and plain panels, etc., and all are placed so that they, oach, aud every one, can be easily read by parties at Jhe back of the auditorium. There are still a few spaces left, and parties who wish to take advantage of this means of putting and keeping themselves before the public, had bettor apply to the gentleman who are, at present, to be found working upon this curtheatre. tain at Woodmansee's When the curtain is finished, a photographic likeness of it will be taken, and those having their names upon this line piece of canvas will have a chance to buy as ninny "photo's." for framing as they wish. We advise all business men to go to the theatre, see this work and take the remain-- , ing spaces. We understand that it is the intention of the gentlemen who are working upon the curtain, to have it ready for attaching to tho roller, in ten days; thereforejou who want representation thereon, hurry sium 1 y'lLl tt lmmmi ijoukijon I II Lr if J. 1 I j B;, Ac.e Our Stock of Case Good ta rnl?r supplied with the best qualities of Pn Wiilkle, Imported and VSSH uranuies, fast In.
