Special services at the Presbyterian Presbyteri-an church Monday night, June 10 at 8 o'clock. The committee of National Missions Mis-sions of Utah and Idaho will be In Myton, Monday, June 10. Mrs. Orpha Dart of Myton is visiting visit-ing at the homo of her son O. A. Dart on North Myton 'bench. Rcgualr business meeting of tho lodge was held Monday night. There was a good crowd, in attendance. O Rev. S. A. Tarker reports a very bu3y time at the assembly meeting which is being held at St. Paul, Minn. Several loads of steel for the Antelope Ante-lope bridge arrived Ihe past week.. Erecting ;of the bridge will start at once. Miss Alic Todd and Mrs. Fannie Bjornson of Duchesne spent Wednt-tlay Wednt-tlay and Thursday ci last yock i;i Myton. Mr3. R. D. Miller returned from Salt Lake City last Saturday where she had .been attending 'buslne33 for several days. Joe Anderson, Roe Forsythe and Earl Elliott returned la3t week from Tootle where they had be?n working in a smelter. Curley Cooper came in frora Green river Wednesday. He reports that Green river has dropped three feet the past week. Cliff Broome of Ouray left the past, week for Cleburne, Tex., for a vl3lt with his sister. He will probably remain re-main several weeks. Mrs. Robert Well3 and children and Mrs. Wm. Harris left Thursday for Salt Lake. They will probably return home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Halstead of Duchesne were among the Myton visitors Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Mr. Halstead has charge of the picture show at that place. Mrs. S. A. Wells, Mrs. George El-lott El-lott and Mrs. Wm. Harris' of Myton were Sunday dinner guests at the home oif Mrs. Fannie Bjornson, Duchesne. Du-chesne. D. C. Lytic pleaded guilty before the district court at Vernal Tuesday for 3rd degree burglary andi was sentenced sen-tenced to six months to three years in the state penitentiary. The board of equalization consdst-ing consdst-ing of the county commissioners, county clerk and county assessor met at Myton Wednesday. The 'board, met at Roosevelt June 6. H. H. Blaine and family left for Salt Lake Sunday. They returned Tuesday accompanied by Miss Marguerite Mar-guerite who has been attending the University there the past winter. Keith Wahlquist and child, Mrs. Elizabeth Wahlquist and daughter Mable of Ogden came in Monday and will spend the week with relatives and friends. They will return home Sunday. Dr. Paden, Rev. PfllsibUTy and Dr. Hare are making a tour of Utah and holding services in Myton Monday Mon-day night, June 10, at 8 o'clock. Dr. Hare is succeeding Dr. Paden. We all know what a treat It is to hear Dr. Paden and Rev, Pillsbury and expect the same from Dr. Hare. " Tho American Legion "Hope Chest" that has been displayed In the Myton Drug window was given away at the American Legion dance held; at Victory park Wednesday night. The lucky winner was Miss Alice Todd of Dncheane. We wore misinformed when wo stated, last week that the work at the steel bridge was being paid for by the town of Myton. The fact is the state put -up- the money to pay for this work. Vouchers were made out last week to the amount of $133. R. L. Hurd returned home the past week.". Mr, Hurd wa3 representative to the grand lodge which held its meeting at Cedar City. After the meeting tof the grand lodge he took a trip to Phoenix and visited: friends, coming home by way of the new bridge over Colorado river, which 13 said to be the highest bridgo in tho .nit?d States. He reports a very Interesting In-teresting trip. Among other things he saw a herd of wild buffalo Ii the southern part of the state. |
