Show ai aija jc COUNTY COURT important business transacted at the last session the count court met pursuant to adjournment on tuesday morning with judge dusenberry presiding select mea J S page A and louis P lund were present as also county clerk V L halliday county attorney SR thurman and sheriff thomas fowler the first business done by the board was the appointing of hubbard road supervisor of spanish fork upon the petition of win greer et al edward lee wag appointed road supervisor of springville Spring ville precinct the report of road supervisor henry sargent of thistle was presented and accepted the following claims were presented audited and allowed henry sargent services as road supervisor 12 john A brown services as game commissioner 1860 dr W R pike amputation of indian wises leg 25 geo D ear nard co books ink standa etc G A glazier counte treasurer county assessor and collector W H brawn presented a list of names of persons owing their taxes for and asked the court to remit the same for causes set opposite their names the sum of 1006 was remitted the financial statement of utah county aa published in another column in issue was submitted by the clerk approved and ordered printed in THE UTAH ENQUIRER tho treasurers treasur ers report from oct to dec 31 1888 was accepted it shows total receipts y disbursements 1356 balance in treasury 03 the sum of was appropriated on recommendation of selectman J S page to assist tho goshen irrigation company in raising and graveling the county road along and over the goshen dam selectman recommended in the matter of the petition of M P madsen et al that upon the filing with the county clerk of a grant to utah county far right of way signed by the landowners on provo bench that the county court order survey of and locate said road as a public highway A sum not to exceed was appropriated from the county funds on recommendation of selectman holdaway to help repair the county road running through on recommendation of selectman holdaway the salary of county surveyor was established at the rate of per annum to take effect december 1 1888 selectman holdway and the county surveyor were appointed a committee to secure maps describing the lands situated in utah county with the name of the owner thereof and the sum cf appropriated was on account of said work W R H appeared as a committee from tha city council of provo and asked the court to join provo city in furnishing the cellar in the east part of the courthouse for uses on motion of selectman page judge dusenberry was authorized to act with said committee in the completion of said cellar the court expenses for the december term were allowed as follows W N dusenberry 20 J S page A D holdaway Holdaw av 20 louis alund 27 20 thomas fowler 1250 the court then adjourned |
