Show The Second Road to the Pacific Pa-cific We announced on Saturday the initial contract entered into by the President and Directors of the Northern North-ern I'aeiSc Railroad Company or the construction of the first section of 230 miles of their great work This is called the Minnesota Division, and extends ex-tends from the da'les of the St. Louis River to the lied River of the North. The contractors represent a combination combi-nation of the old Canadian firm of Koss Pays 'U & Co., and the well known Minnesota firm of Bracket!, Morrison & Co. According to the contract, the whole division is to be completed on or about the fir-t of July 1871. The Executive Execu-tive Committee of the board of directors direct-ors have also contracted for 20,000 tons of rails, together wiih the neces ary appendages, arid a complete equipment for this po Hon orthe road. The money negotiations of the com patiy, w are credii.ly infurmed, have already so f r progressed as to insure prompt payments to the contractors, nd when its mortgage loan shall have been put in complete shape under the terms of the recent liberal joint resolution of congress, with 7 3-10 per cent, bonds, secured by a land grant of nearly 60.000 000 ol acres, it would appear that the financial finan-cial success of the undertaking ouyht to be assured.
