Show A Negro'e Carnival of Murder. New Obleans, December 17. A special to the Picayune says: This afternoon, at Laurel, Lau-rel, Miss., a colored woman named Celia Perryman was murdered,- together with her two children, a boy and a girl, aged 8 and 11 years. " It was developed at the inquest that Sam Wilson, colored, aged about 22 years, during the absence of the mother and the boy, attempted to outrage the girl, and then killed her with an ax. He then enticed the boy into the house, and slew him, after which he broke open the woman's trunk and took money and several valuable articles therefrom. The mother returned while Wilson Wil-son was in the house, and he immediately attacked and killed her, and then set fire to the house and left the scene of the tragedy. The fire was discovered in time to rescue the bodies. The villain was captured, and did not live to see the sun go down on his bloody work. - |
