Show Death on the "Way to Work. Boston, October 26. At about 8 o'clock this morning a gang of twenty men on the Massachusetts Central Railroad were being conveved to their work by an engine and flat car. The men were sitting oh the Rides of the car,- ten on each side, when near Oakdale, without a second's -warning, all men on one side were swept -off in some way at present unknown, but probably proba-bly by a fallen tree or telegraph pole. Nine of the men were either killed or injured. Ambulances were ordered at the Massachusetts Massa-chusetts general hospital to be in readiness for the injured men, who it is expected will arrive here this afternoon. |
