Wes-Bels, Wes-Bels, leading importer of analine dyes, who J retired from the business about six months ago, sends a .long communication to the American Journal of Fabrics, in which he says the cause of his retirement was the wholesale corruption and bribery practiced in the business. He declares that legitimate business is impossible, that fourteen importing import-ing analine houses of this country all resort to bribing dyers to use and recommend their goods and famishing their salesmen money for' the same purpose.- This," :he declares, leads to the sale of inferior dyes, or. charging charg-ing high prices for legitimate goods.
