The custom of the Academy is to give one of these pleasing entertainments at the close of each semi-annual course, and those who are at all familiar with these occasions oc-casions are aware that the purpose of the exercises is to afford an exhibition of the musical and literary talent and ability of the pupils as cultivated and developed in their previous course of study. Yesterday's Yester-day's was perhaps the finest of these exhibitions, ex-hibitions, and this was due to the rapidly growing attendance, which furnishes a wider field from which to make selections. selec-tions.
