Show Education of the Blind. Washington, January 29. With the purpose pur-pose of promoting the interest in the estab-Eshment estab-Eshment of institutions in this country for the artistic and musical education of the blind, a concert was given in All Souls Church this evening by artists educated at the London Royal College and the Academy of Music for the Blind. Invitations to the concert were sent out by a committee consisting con-sisting of Miss Cleveland, Mrs. Chief Justice Jus-tice Waite, Mrs. Senator Sherman, Mrs. Speaker Carlisle, Mrs. Endicott, and several prominent gentlemen. President Cleveland and Miss Cleveland were among the audience. audi-ence. The concert, which was under the direction of Dr. F. J. Campbell, the principal princi-pal of the Royal College, was pronounced a complete artistic success. ' |
