Salt Lake City, Utah lerr.tory. have made ap-plicatiou ap-plicatiou f -r a United States' patent for the Kiver Lee mining claim, situate in Little Cottonwood Cot-tonwood Mining Distriet, Salt Lake county, ttah territory, cousistiug of 1,305 liuear feet of the lode, aud surface ground loo feet wide, being be-ing Sbt No. 171, aud ditoCribed in the field notes aud plat of the official survey on file in this office, with magnetic variation at 18 degrees 10 mi-uies east, as follows: Commencing at th discovery point of the said mining claim, and ruuninf- 3 82 degrees 10 miuutes W 775 feet to the center of the westerly end Hue of the claim, aud thence S 7 degrees oO minutes E 50 feet to Pot No. 1: theuce N 7 degrees 50 min .tes W 100 feet to Post No. 2; thence N 82 degrees 10 minutes min-utes E 1,305 feet to Post No. S; thence 8 7 degrees de-grees 50 miuutes E 100 feet to Post No. 4; thence S 82 degrees 10 minutes W 1,305 feet to Post No. 1 of the exterior boundary lines of the surface ground of this claim, embracing an area of 2.701 acres, after excluding therefrom the area in conflict with Lot 70, the Live Yankee miuiag claim, 0.081 acres, and Lot 138, the Alta mining claim, 0.234 acres.
