Show A TUCSON SENSATION. The United States Grand Jury Ren. - ders a Rasping Report. " Tucson, October' 31st. William Barnes,' Associate Justice, arrived this evening and opened court. The United Sttf grand jury reported indictments against R. H. Paul, Sheriff; H. Barron and M. W. Brady for stealing and changing ballots bal-lots after the last election, at which a Delegate to Congress was voted for" The grand jury in their report censure the corruption and extravagance of the last Legislature, which appropriated $23,000 for clerk hire and $21,000 for printing They refer to the corruption in the administration ad-ministration of federal offices in the Territory, Terri-tory, and denounce the system which has obtained of th "cuciai KlVing out contracts for surveying government land to non-practical and incompetent surveyors, which has resulted in much confusion and fraud in public land surveys sur-veys in the Territory. They censure the L nited States District Attorney and Marshal Mar-shal for violation of the law in seizin? property illegally, and refer the evidence to the next grand jury. They also call attention to the vast amount of smuggling I and advise the government to guard the frontier against it or permit the products ' of Mexico to enter free of duty. They ! call attention to-the great loss of life property by the Apaches, and recommend !! in strong terms the Arizona policy of their removal from the Territory. The work of the grand jury attracted the attention of the entire Territory, as it is the first which has proved corruption m everv federal office. Strong efforts were I repeatedly made to defeat its work, which caused much feeling among the people When the report was made this evening the courthouse was crowded with citizens and no such scene was ever witnessed in I Tucson.
