Show I "The Mikado" Sociable. The ladies and gentlemen of the local "Mikado" company gave their social reunion re-union ball in the Emporium Hall last evening, and made it in every respect one of the most enjoyable events of the kind that could be well imagined. " There was a full attendance of the members, and during the evening the male chorus was called out twice. The first selection, "Behold the Lord High Executioner," in which Mr. J. D. Spencer, the inimitable Ko-Ko, rendered his magnificent solo, was received with tremendous ap plause, which brought the gentleman out again. Nanki-Pooh's beautiful solo, "A Wandering Minstrel I," with the fine chorus and orchestra accompaniment, accompani-ment, made a big hit, in which Air. Pyper shared the principal honors. . Just before midnight a nicely prepared luncheon was served, which was a decidedly de-cidedly appreciative feature of the evening, even-ing, and then the programme of dance3 completed. The affair proved a most en-joyable en-joyable reunion and brought together, under very pleasant auspices, the ladies and gentlemen whose efforts' and talent had given to the Salt Lake public one of the choicest musical performances, of a local character, ever witnessed here. |
