Show Our Naval Cadets. . Washington, November 20. Captain Ramsey, Superintendent of the Naval Academy, in his annual report, recommends that the permits for admission as cadets be issued one year prior to the time fixed for examination, and renews the recommendal tion that all candidates for admission be re-q re-q rePrt f or examination on the 15fch of May. The number of cadets to go on the next practice cruise renders it necessary uLa s,hlPt0 take the place of the "Dale" be fitted out for a practice ship and sent to Annapolis by May. It will, says Captain Ramsey, be impossible to do justice to the cadets and give them the required instruction instruc-tion with only one practice ship. He recommends recom-mends that the selection for line engineer corps and marine corps be made at the end of the four years' course instead of the six years' course." .i |
