Show FOUND DEAD IN HIS ROOM. Sad Fate of John Keniington-Tlic Facts of His Death to Be Developed. Mr." John Remington, a former clerk in the well-known wholesale grocery . establishment estab-lishment of Remington, Johnson & Co., W. Second South street, was found . dead in his room up stair3 in the Donelson House, 147 E. Second South street, today. to-day. '" From what was hurriedly learned at a late hour concerning the shocking affair, it appears that Mr. Remington went to i his room yesterday morning at about 8 o'clock. Nothing'strange was thought of him retiring to his room, as he was not feeling very well. This morning Mrs. C. M. Donelson passed by the room and finding him still there she thought he might have been out and about the town and returned to his room, so she did not disturb his rest until 10 o'clock this" afternoon, when suddenly sud-denly thinking he was stopping an unusually un-usually long time within, she ventured to arouse him, upon which she first noticed his deaih. She went for assistance, and Mr. Donelson brought Mr. W. H. Remington, Rem-ington, and others followed. The young man was discovered to be cold and still in death. Examination revealed no papers pa-pers or indications of self-destruction. It is the general impression that the unfortunate unfor-tunate man died of heart disease. Coroner Taylor has the remains ia charge under Mr. Remington's directions. The deceased was 33 years of age, and had been here but about six months from Nebraska. He is said to have been a quiet and much-respected gentleman. His brother, residing here, is, greatly affected, and has the sympathy of all friends. - -' . ' |
