Show Civil and Criminal Suits WASHINGTON April 23The Secretary of the Interior has requested the Attorney General to institute suits against the parties par-ties in various sections of the country charged with unlawfully removing timber from the public domain They include the following Noah and Richmond Johnson mill owners Thomas Beeton and the Port Madison ower Mi Company in Washington Territory Albert Small C M Colby A L Merritt V Drake John Watt and Edward K Packard of Kingston Idaho Territory In most cases civil suits for damages ranging rang-ing from three to the thousand dollars are recommended and in several oases criminal suits also |
