Show Mguul Service Report WASHINGTON June 13The following is the synopsis of the Signal Service weather crop report for the week ending Juno llth Temperature During tho week ending Juno llth the weather has been warmer than the weekly average in all agricultural districts east of the Rocky Mountains excepting ex-cepting the Atlantic States from Maine southwestward to Virginia and Southern Texas This excess of temperature has been greatest in the corn aud wheat regions of the Northwest where the average daily excess ranged above normal from 4 degress to 8 n degrees Those conditions are most favorable in the present stage of crops During the past six weeks which have been important especially for the grain growing districts the temperature has been steadily in excess over corn and wheat regionsand has been nearly stationary in the corn belt which conditions must have been most beneficial to crops During the week the rainfall has been slightly deficient in agricultural districts dis-tricts except from western Pennsylvania southwestward to Arkansas and Indian Territory Ter-ritory where n slight excess has fallen Shower have been numerous and well distributed dis-tributed save in a few sections of local importance im-portance only Over all agricultural districts dis-tricts the weather this week has been apparently ap-parently favorable for important crops marked deficiency of temperature ocouring only in local sections of secondary importance import-ance As regards staplesSouth of the 29th parallel ace where presumably grain harvesting is now general the weather has been favorable favor-able for that work as general rains have fallen or high winds occurred while sunshine sun-shine has been at or above average Local rains have fallen in the oast eight hours or are predicted from Minnesota eastward to Michigan where they will bo timely and beneficial to growing crops |
