Show Librarian Checks Out After Ten Tee Years By Jessica Springer Campus Editor It was announced on web site that Sharon Gouge willbe will willbe willbe be retiring at the end of June Gouge has been a constant presence presence presence pres pres- ence in the library at for forthe forthe forthe the last ten years Gouge began working for the college as a time part-time employee and worked her way up to day circulation supervisor and ILL technician She was instrumental tal in helping complete the move when the new Redwood Campus library was complete reported Gouge is leaving the college due to health reasons she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis last fall Heat makes my condition much worse so I am going to be pretty much regulated to indoor activities she said in a letter to faculty and staff dated earlier this month Thanks for the last 10 years they have been great I am really really really real real- ly proud to have worked here and feel like I have had the opportunity opportunity opportunity to meet and work with so many wonderful people Gouge has said she will be using most of her indoor time tune making a necktie quilt I intend to make it king size and it takes 20 16 ties to make a yard of fab fab- ric So if you dont don't want that thattie tie Aunt Gertie gave you or if you have ones you would like to discard discard discard dis dis- card may I have them please she requested in her letter If anyone has ties to donate to Gouge for her quilt you can take them to the Library in an envelope envelope envelope enve enve- lope addressed Sharon Gouge We here at the Globe would like to wish Sharon Gouge the best and thank her for her ten years of Cf dedicated service I t r r rr |
