O King secretary in inthe inthe inthe the School of Business and Industry Industry Industry Indus Indus- try deans dean's office passed away at ather ather ather her Midvale home on Saturday Feb 26 1994 from heart failure She was 45 years old King who had graduated from with both a certificate in information processing in 1992 and an AAS AAS' degree in information information information tion processing in 1993 consistently consistently consistently was on the Presidents President's List List- every quarter She had been further further further fur fur- ther honored at the Deans Dean's Recep Reception tion for graduates tes in June 1993 as the outstanding office information systems graduate in her graduating graduating graduating ing class She graduated with high honors and a cumulative of Marilyn Hibbert coordinator of the OIS GIS department stated that l King was our success story She always had a positive attitude and was a joy ajoy to be around She wasn't afraid to tackle any work I 1 gave ave her er even if it was new to her s o LuAnne Holt Holt- King an native G Georgian worked in the deans dean's office and in surrounding offic offices s since March 1992 Her job consisted of many roles including helping the other secretaries administrative assistants assistants assistants assis assis- tants and office technicians with reports and projects She also as assists assists assists as- as staff and faculty in the School of Business and Industry pers personnel jt She wasn't afraid to tackle any work I gave her even if it F was new to her heru said LuAnne Holt secretary to the dean King had numerous friends at atthe atthe atthe the College but had a special time long-time friendship with one of the OIS professors Nina Edgmand When I first met Linda King she was in the lowliest of circumstances circumstances circum circum- stances Edgmand said She was able to lift herself from that thatto thatto thatto to become the best that she could be Linda was full of enthusiasm for life she wanted to achieve and grow She was generous with her time She always gave her best She was a very dear friend We shared many sorrows and joys I will miss her deeply The funeral will be held at McDougal Funeral Home on S.
