Assumes command HILL AFB -- A 15-year Air Force veteran has assumed command com-mand of th 2849th Security Police Squadron. Maj. Ervin Crawford accepted the post from Maj. Duke Hancock who has been named airfield manager mana-ger at Hill. Major Crawford arrived from Whitman AFB, Mo., where he served as commander of the 352nd Missile Security Squadron. The security force provides law enforcement for the base's resources, re-sources, its residents and employees. em-ployees. They also provide protection protec-tion for the aircraft and related command and control facilities. Major Crawford joined the Air Force in 1971 and received his commission in 1972. His tours have included Hahn AB, Germany, and Korat Royal Thai AFB, Thailand.
