Show funeral services for mrs J M bailey I 1 services for mrs airs J J M bailey 1 were held at tile the L D S church yesterday afternoon attended by a large number of relatives and friends mrs airs bailey passed away on monday night following an illness of about two tivo months in the absence of bishop K S summers wm win C walton presided opening the service with a short prayer after organ music played by mrs airs maxine frost C R christensen brother of tile the deceased followed with a prayer mrs maggie taylor a sister accompanied compa nied by tom evans violin and madeline knight piano sarg sang icy the touching song sing me ale to sleep wilford frost was aas A as ta the le first speaker and he paid tribute not only to mrs airs bailey for her sine line qualities as a mother and homemaker but to the family with whom lie he has had long acquaintance through the years karl lyman followed with a review of his association with the family during the past nine months as a ward teacher lie compared the faith and courage of airs bailey with that of certain biblical characters paying tribute also to her for enduring fai faith th even cven through the weeks of illness tom evans accompanied by madeline played lead kindly light after which mr air walton expressed the appreciation of the family for the sympathy and help extended during their time of bereavement rea and for the many floral tributes received the closing prayer was offered b by y karl barton phoebe laderal C bailey was born on february 18 1884 at tuba city arizona where her father labored several years as missionary sio nary with the indians the family returned to wayne county ty utah the following year and in 1893 settled in san juan county ty where her father continued his work vork among the indians on november 8 1903 she was i married to J M bailey at monticello to this union were born two children kenneth R bailey and mrs airs Guenn ivere B nelson beside her husband and two children five grandchildren are left to mourn her passing knneth kenneth neth jr mrs reta L adams carrol and larry bailey and vivian nelson also three brothers and four sisters C 11 christensen wilford and john christensen alice burr ann E hyde mary evans and jennie beeson of monticello ti cello two brothers niel and neldon christensen and five sisters leona maxwell matilda maxwell maggie taylor of moab and blanche Lelen thien and thelma farnsworth of salt lake city |
