Show Ne w Members Join Faculty AtSouthHigh Heralded with arrival of the 1941-'42 school year, were nine new faculty members, who have studied and taught in a variety of schools throughout the West. Miss Barbara Beisinger, girls' physical education instructor, graduated grad-uated from Roosevelt junior and East high schools, and the University Univer-sity of Utah. . She was an instructor instruc-tor at both Irving and Roosevelt junior high schools last year. Miss Edith Goates, assistant librarian, li-brarian, attended Lehi high school and graduated from the University Univer-sity of Utah. She was formerly employed as a teacher at Wasatch grade school. Teaching for the first time and "enjoying it very much" is Miss Isabelle Gagian, who will direct speech activities. She has graduated grad-uated from Murray high school and the University of Utah. Also j included in this category is Miss Mary Jane Hair, graduate of Weber We-ber Junior College and the University Uni-versity of Utah, where she was a staff member of the Chronicle, student newspaper. Miss Ruth Harding, teacher of Type and Shorthand, graduated from East high school and University Uni-versity of Utah. Taking over the position of debate de-bate coach is Miss Myrtle Harvey, who not only attended the University Univer-sity of Utah, but also the University Univer-sity of Wisconsin. Mr. Ferrin Mangelson, chemistry chemis-try instructor, has studied at the University of Seattle and taught at Joab and Nephi high schools. Before accepting the position of band and orchestra director, Mr. Armont Willardson taught atEph-raim atEph-raim and Horace Mann high schools. Previous to teaching, he attended Snow Junior College, University of Utah, and Northwestern North-western University. Mr. Douglas Williams, new type instructor, was employed at Lincoln Lin-coln junior high school after graduating grad-uating from the University of Utah. |
