Show FIRST SECURITY REPORT WINS CITATION For the ninth consecutive year, First Security Bank system's annual an-nual report has received a merit award from Financial World magazine, mag-azine, according to C. G. (Neal) White, assistant vice president at the Sugar House First Security office. Notification of the award has been received by First Security from Weston Smith, Financial World's executive vice president. Financial World's citation said: First Security's financial statement state-ment was judged as among the most modern from the standpoint of content, typography, and format for-mat of the 5000 annual reports examined dudring 1955. First Security's annual report was prepared under the direction of Thomas F. Hawkes, vice president presi-dent and comptroller of First Security Se-curity Corporation. The bank system's publications are prepared under the direction of Willard L. Eccles, First Security Securi-ty vice president and secretary-treasurer, secretary-treasurer, who is also director of public relations and advertisng. White said the award winning annual report showed that the First Security system of banks total resources climbed to $395,-370,940.25 $395,-370,940.25 at the end of 1954, corn- pared with $371, 545,059.23 in 1953, and $39,706,011.34 when the First Security Bank system was organized organ-ized 26 years ago. White recalled that in 1928, six of the oldest banks in the inter-mountain inter-mountain area, then known as the Eccles-Browning affiliated - banks, formed the nucleus of the First Security system of banks.
