Show OLYMPC'S iriGII SCHOOL By Carolyn Howard Friday night at the annual senior prom, Peseidius, Ruth White and Gary Lambert were crowned king and queen by Ray Geigle, dance chairman. Later the three top acts of Olympus' third Titan Talent Review Re-view were named. The Titanettes, Olympus High School Pep Club, were awarded a trophy for the merit of their performance. This is the second year in a row the Pep Club has walked off with the traveling trophy. Second place was taken by LeCircle DeArtistes and the Drama Club took third place honors with a well-planned skit. The cast has been selected for "You Can't Take It With You," the play chosen for the annual dramatic production. One hundred and fifty students tried out for parts in the play. Of this number 19 were chosen. They are: Mary Sue Moss, Carolyn Tanner, Judy Yeager, Doug Price, Jerry Van Or-man, Or-man, Neil Plumber, Jay Jordan, Doug Calder, Linda Linebaugh, Burton Mitchell, Ray Geigle, Stewart Ste-wart Hanson, Sherril Kolstad, Martin Chamberlin, Nola Messing-er, Messing-er, Clark Tanner, Richard Robinson, Robin-son, Larry Marwedel, and Ann Pechman. The student directors are Ann Richardson, Joan Lasater, and Dora Lee Player. "Lazy J Roundup" is the theme this year for the Junior Class Party, which takes place on Nov. 28. Terry Chipman, chairman in charge, has planned typical Western West-ern games for the enjoyment of all. Hot dogs and root beer will be served. Sub-chairmen are Arda Hansen, Rayna Cooper, Kathy Mortenson and Karen MePhee. The Thunderbolt staff is sponsoring spon-soring a photography as well as a literary contest this year. Photos will be entered under two classes, scenery or teen-age life. Poetry, essay, and short story are the fields in which students will submit their literary efforts. Cash prizes will be offered to the winners of each. |
