Show OLYMPUS JR HIGH By NICK STURGEON Various rewards were offered to students of Olympus Junior High whose parents visited the school during National Education Week (Nov. 11-17). Students whose parents par-ents visited classes will be admitted admit-ted at no cost to a movie to be shown at school on Dec. 5, instead of paying the regular 25-cent price. Candy bars were given to the home room classes which returned the highest percentage of notice slips bearing their parents' signatures. sig-natures. The first night dance of the school year the Soda Shoppe Hoppe, was held the evening of Friday, Nov. 16, at Olympus Jr. According to the dance committee there was a large turnout for the event. . The Olympus Jr. Bulldogs won a volleyball game from Granite Jr. by a score of 31-19 in a home game on Nov. 15 to finish the season with an even 3-3 won and lost record. The team beat Granite Jr., Kearns, and Brockbank, while losing to Central, Evergreen, and Valley. Olympus Jr. now looks ahead to the basketball season which will begin near Christmas time. |
