Show 4-11 CLUB WEEK OBSERVED THROUGH UTAH Utahns will doff their hats to 12,000 Utah 4-H club members and leaders during national 4-H club week, slated for March 7 to 15. "Working together for world understanding" will be themed during this year's eight days of festivities and celebration. Special tours, civic and church programs and store window decorations will add to the colorful tirade of demonstrations dem-onstrations and meetings. County agents cited the youth of this county for their year's activities ac-tivities in the 4-H program and pointed to a fuller program during 1953. Four-H work in Utah is sponsored spon-sored by the Utah Extension Service and is carried out in the counties by the county and home demonstration agents. David Sharp and Fern Shipley, youth supervisors super-visors v of the Utah Extension Service, direct the 4-H club program pro-gram in Utah. During the week-long celebration, celebra-tion, 4-H club members will have an opportunity to reflect upon their own efforts in relation to the needs of their community and ocun-try ocun-try and to inform the public of the accomplishments. These "learn-by-doing" youths have worked on such projects as raising livestock, growing gardens, constructing farm buildings, beautifying beau-tifying homes and communities, canning fruit, making clothing, cooking meals and a myriad of other activities sponsored by the all-inclusive 4-H club program. State and local civic leaders will next week salute the youth who have been building communities and who are striving today to "make the best better." so that they might be qualified leaders of tomorrow.
